Compensation

Salary levels are competitive with other accounting firms in the Northwest.  Salary reviews are formally reviewed annually with compensation increases and promotions based upon performance, skill development and accomplishments.  Periodic bonuses are usually paid, but not guaranteed.

Medical

Our benefits include medical coverage utilizing a medical savings account that the company contributes to and allows the employee to take advantage of tax advantage savings for our employees.

Retirement

The Firm makes an annual contribution to a 401(k) savings and profit sharing plan.  The annual contribution is currently in the form of a 3% contribution plus a discretionary profit sharing contribution.

Seasonal, Flex Time and Alternative Schedules

Seasonal, flex time and alternative schedules may be available.  When possible, we are willing to accommodate a variety of arrangements to better serve you and the firm.  The firm also observes a shortened schedule in the off-season which reduces the office hours by approximately 6 hours per week.

Time Off

We currently observe 9 paid holidays, one paid day off after April 15, and professional staff may earn up to a total 20 days off each year including vacation and sick leave.

“Business Casual”

We recognize the movement towards more casual attire and are a year round “business casual” Firm.

Memberships

We pay membership fees for state societies and other selected professional and community organizations.  We encourage active participation in these professional associations and community organizations.

CPA Examination Benefits and Bonus

The Firm also reimburses costs for CPA exam study materials, preparation courses and exam related fees as well as providing paid time off to sit for the exam.  Upon successful completion of the CPA exam, an appropriate bonus is paid.

Training

We work with each professional staff to develop a customized plan to achieve their professional goals.  In addition to our in-house training for professional and support staff, our professional staff receive at least 40 hours of paid training per year.  Many of our staff will receive in excess of 80 hours of paid training each year.  The Firm reimburses continuing education and related travel costs.

Technology

Our firm made the move to the “Clouds” in time for the 2006 tax season and almost all of our software is now hosted in a cloud format.  This allows our employees to work almost anywhere that an adequate Internet connection is available.  Our goal is to continue work toward a more “Virtual CPA” office.  We feel this allows our employees to be both more effective and meet their lifestyle goals.
